When Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Facebook's US headquarters in 2015, Mark Zuckerberg told him that Steve Jobs had suggested he visit the ashram to rediscover himself. 
Zuckerberg actually visited Kainchi Ashram in 2008.

Kainchi Dham has its devotees during all times of the year but the summers are the best one making it a pleasant time for the visitors and devotees. 

Winters here are extremely beautiful. In the winter season,  You can experience the beauty of Nainital and snow-covered peaks

However, monsoon can be a bit difficult due to congested roads and heavy rains, but it offers the most mesmerizing sight of the place as all the colors come out in their purest and most natural form after being washed away by the rain.

The Neem Karoli Baba Ashram is located on Nainital - Almora Road, 9 kilometers away from Bhowali and 17 kilometers from Nainital.


You can board a train to Kathgodam, in the Kumaon region of Uttaranchal, and then take a two-hour bus ride to reach Kainchi, where the ashram is located close to the bus stop.

Staying Outside the Ashram

Most Devotees or Visitors stay in Nainital or Bhowali or nearby the ashram and visit the temple at the time.

There are several Guest Houses in Bhowali near Ashram and in range just 8 kilometers away.

If you wish to visit Kainchi Dham, Maharaji-ji’s Ashram you can write a letter to the Kainchi Ashram Manager at kainchidham@gmail.com.
Generally, they allow you to stay for 3 days only.
